Nightlife matters!
We have all experienced the feeling of euphoria on a night out, created memories and stories, celebrated important events or forgotten about failures, made life-long friendships or even met soulmates whilst going out. Whether you are letting loose and relaxing at your favourite bar every Thursday, or following your favourite DJs to the most hip underground places, or enjoying the luxury of upmarket lounges or getting in to members clubs, these emotions are experienced universally. The nightlife scene is truly exciting and from underground to alternative, to casual, gay and luxury, it always has something to offer.
Nightlife is nurturing cultural movements, spurring creativity, creating communities and bringing excitement to the cities. Nightlife saved Berlin from the bankruptcy, and helped to attract the entrepreneurial, fashion and investment scenes to name just few. It is multibillion dollar worth sector globally with London alone being worth £66billion!
However, we have all felt the pain and frustration of unsuccessful nights. Whether you are missing out on amazing events, getting stuck in long queues, bouncing from venue to venue, wasting time and money on getting to an empty club, not knowing the coolest rooftops and bars around, being treated badly at the venues or not knowing where to go, we have all experienced memorably bad nights. But, it doesn’t have to be this way and these issues are all solvable.
What’s the problem?
The Nightlife sector is extremely scattergun. The nightlife journey is fragmented and inefficient. It lacks authenticity, efficient information flow and trust. It is missing a reward system.
Currently, there are no adequate communication and discovery tools that would help consumers to have a seamless nightlife journey. Available platforms for them are either fragmented communication channels such as Whatsapp or Facebook, or discovery platforms like Trip Advisor or Google search that do not provide real local perspectives & do not reflect nightlife seasonality. Other solutions are purely focused on venue listings and ticketing as opposed to the entire journey and community participation.
Nightlife is about the ambience on the night and the moment and consumers want to know if a venue or party is busy, how the music is, what the crowd is like, if there are long queues etc. It is a community driven sector, where the community should actively participate. Moreover, a nightlife journey consists of few steps: finding a place, getting in, meeting people, saving memories etc. and hence there is a need for a comprehensive one stop shop solution that would enable purchases, loyalty, data analytics etc.
Imagine though…
Can you imagine a world where you are rewarded for sharing nightlife experiences and recommendations for the nights out, simply by posting about your favourite bars, pubs and clubs you go to? Or where you can bet on which club will be the best on a given night? Where you can tip your favourite Djs, rate bouncers (and hold them accountable!) and bartenders? Where you can secure venue entry and pay with the app for drinks? This is just to name just a few features we are looking to implement.
