Each Nitro Car has certain traits associated with it; such as reputation, speed, acceleration, handling, and durability. All car traits are quantified on a five-point scale. Upgrades in performance parts enhance the car’s traits.

- Brakes: Upgrading breaks will improve braking and drifting. The two types of breaks available are Wheel Breaks and Thruster Breaks. Provides and Handling: +3
- Booster Kit: Installing Booster Kit will enhance the speed tremendously boost during races. Provides, Speed: +10 and Acceleration: +10
- Spoilers: Installing Spoilers will improve the speed and handling of the car. Spoiler installations are available for specific cars only. Provides, Speed: +1 and Handling: +3
