This NJ Spark original video tells the story of Carmen and her family. Carmen came to the United States from Mexico, and since she and her family arrived in New Brunswick, they have fought to survive in the growing Temp industry of New Jersey. The family has struggled with poverty wages and rampant wage theft which is common for workers at the margins. In time however, Carmen found the organization New Labor, which fights for immigrant workers. Now she is part of an organization that is fighitng for basic human rights!
