On episode 4 of Beats, Hustle, & Politics, we spoke to Elizabeth Rivera Rodas, an assistant professor at Montclair State University.

Originally from New York City, Elizabeth is a Hudson County resident who currently works as an assistant professor at the Educational Foundations Department at Montclair State University. Her research focuses on urban educational policy, residential and school segregation, and teacher quality. During the interview, we talked about how a Jay-Z song got her through her Ph.D. program, her current research projects, and her thoughts on how educational policy should be approached.
