These Fools Plan on Coming Back to DC on January 17, 2021
“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we lose our freedoms it will be because we have destroyed ourselves from within.” — Abraham Lincoln, paraphrased from 1838 Young Men’s Lyceum of Springfield, IL
I work hard to be well informed. I read and watch both opinions that agree with and those that disagree with me. So, I’m on CNN, Fox, and MSNBC. I read the Wall Street Journal, the New Yorker, the Hill, the New York Times, and the Week among others. I scour websites that support my views and those that don’t. Right now, at this moment, the buzz is one of craziness. Many are sad to recognize they were part of an insurrection on January 6th, while others are gleeful and wanting more violence. More violence is what they are looking for.
But they don’t need to look too hard. When Twitter permanently banned Trump, part of their explanation is that the January 17th date is floating around as a second insurrection.
“Plans for future armed protests have already begun proliferating on and off-Twitter, including a proposed secondary attack on the US Capitol and state capitol buildings on January 17, 2021.” — Twitter news release on blocking Trump account
The mob wanted to take hostages; to harm our Senators and Representatives in Washington and to grab Governors in the state capital. Members of that violent gang were carrying human restraints. I believe the insurgents wanted to capture our government, torture them, and execute them in front of us all. This, after all, was the plan when the white supremacists tried to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer, the Governor of Michigan. to overthrow the legal state government.
We Must Be Prepared
On January 17, 2021, violent anti-government Trump supporters plan to attack Washington, DC, and our state capitals. Again. The extremists are planning to come back. Hopefully, the police now know these people are not their friends, We must be prepared. No coddling. No selfies. No allowing fools on state and federal land. If the mob shows up, take appropriate action. Treat them like what they are.
