We’d like to introduce Angela Alvarez, one of our Author Accelerator members. Angela recently finished her first draft and we invited her to sit down for a little interview to talk about her experience. So without further ado, here is Angela!

Q: Okay, Angela, can we have the basics about your project and your book coach?

Angela: My book, Swallow the Dark is a YA fantasy I’ve been working on for 1.5 years. I worked with book coach Kit Frick.

Q: How does it feel to have finished?

Angela: AWESOME. I’ve loved every minute of the plan, each of the 70
weeks has been a wonderful experience.

Q: What did you do to celebrate?

Angela: I’m Colombian, so dark chocolate, coffee and a
siesta on a hammock.

Q: What are your next steps?

Angela: I will be ready for the next level, either MS Evaluation or Pitch Track, later this year or early 2019, so this is not goodbye at all, more like “I’ll be back.”

Q: Why would you recommend coaching to get to a finished draft?

Angela: I can honestly say that working with Kit is the single most important thing I’ve done to help my writing and Author Accelerator has been the best
investment I’ve made for my career. I am so grateful.

Thanks so much for taking the time to talk with us, Angela. And again, congrats on your huge accomplishment!
