Odd behaviors from Scott Peterson following the murders of his wife and unborn baby.

Scott and Laci Peterson.

In 2002, the disappearance of a very pregnant Laci Peterson captivated the country. Laci was a pregnant resident of Modesto, California. She was a school teacher happily married to fertilizer salesman Scott Peterson. One day in December it was discovered that Laci allegedly went for a walk and never came back. From the moment Laci went missing family, friends, and detectives tried to put the pieces together. The only person who didn’t seem desperate to get her and his unborn child back was Scott. Laci’s body was eventually found washed up in a bay decomposed along with her son. The same area Scott had gone fishing in right before her disappearance. Scott was convicted of the murders. He is currently serving a life term in prison without parole. He has never admitted to having any involvement in the murders. Below is a list of weird behaviors that he executed following the disappearance.

Back in the High Life Again.

Scott happy at a vigil for his missing wife.

During Laci’s disappearance, Scott continued working and traveling selling fertilizer. He was also seen playing golf at country clubs. He often appeared to be happy with no concern for his wife and baby’s disappearance. Investigators also found that Scott subscribed to several new porn websites within a few days of her missing.

Amber Frey

Amber Frey

Amber Frey turned out to be a mistress of Scotts. He was often viewed by Laci’s family as trying to avoid interviews and the press for reasons that didn’t make sense, till they found out about Amber. Amber was a single mother and Massage Therapist who thought that Scott was a single guy. A friend of hers saw Scott on the news and alerted her of what was going on. She ended up becoming an informant for the police and testifying in his trial.

Laci’s Belongings Sold to the Highest Bidder.

Before Laci and her baby were even found, Scott began selling and giving away her items. He sold her Jeep to a local car dealership. When the dealership management found out about the sale they offered the Jeep back to Laci’s parents for only $1.00. The management didn’t feel right about profiting off of their loss. Scott also had a realtor evaluate what he could get for selling the home he shared with Laci. He also offered Laci’s jewelry to Amber as a gift.

The Prediction of Laci’s death.

During the relationship with Amber, Scott told her that he was married before and his wife was gone. He stated that this would be the first holiday season without her, in 2002. He expressed that he had lost her the previous holiday. This was reportedly told to Amber before Laci actually went anywhere. The fact that Laci ended up dying on or around Christmas makes Scott either a murderer, psychic, or the victim of an incredible coincidence.

Diane Sawyer

Diane Sawyer and Scott Peterson.

Scott finally went on to Diane Sawyer to convince people that he was innocent. During the interview, he cried and appeared melancholy. However, as some YouTube body language experts have pointed out, his tears appeared forced. During the interview, he paused and took a phone call in which he immediately returned to a more happy demeanor.

Nowhere to Run.

When Scott was finally arrested police tracked him down while driving to a country club. In his car, he had a gun, sleeping pills, a knife, camping gear, a shovel, his brother's ID, viagra, and over 15,000 in cash. The assumption was he was planning to either run away or cause more harm.

Thank you.
