What is Medium really about though?
Does it offer words you prize?
Or hides someone else’s vice?
Is it a place for bloggers who speak their hearts?
Or a place for an activist who speaks their minds?
Medium authors pen down everything,
Be it, love, hate, bullying or general leg-pulling!
Boasting recipes for food, good mood, and attitude,
But what major event did Medium miss?
Which took place in the month prior to this!
How amidst this noise, a silence pursued?
So what is Medium not scribbling down?
The answer might take you to complex towns,
The simplest form is although this,
It's about “The Freedom of Speech”
Bloggers not talking about ‘free speech?’
Probably, this is an extremely small niche!
Not you or I have made a fuss —
Nor the authors with Medium bonus
A 26-year-old from Belarus carries the bruise,
Who was arrested on a flight to a cruise
His name is Raman Pratasevich
The suppression of someone’s freedom of speech,
Majorly gave me this poem’s itch!

But do not forget it also affects you and me
’Cause our tongues have a fundamental right to be free!
Even if it talks all rubbish,
and one cannot digest this,
I kindly ask you to not take it on your dish!
