I Hate the Suburbs

Suburbs are boring
more boring than you
when the rain is falling
a river goes through.

You try to be patient
what else can you do
than eat all the pizza
and watch Season 2

a series with people
who love what they do
who live in the center
much happier than you.

You put on your red shorts
to walk to the shore
but where are the keys
to open the door?

Been locked in for ages
you lost all your will
no park rides, no mazes
no hope for a thrill.

You give up your chance
to run, rock and roll
for nothing that’s out there
can speak to your soul.

You stand by the window
can tell you feel blue,
cause your youth is wasted
in the suburbs, it’s true.
