And I want to do it in prose.

I want to talk about menstruation
Everyone to your battle stations
Let’s end this time of frustration
It IS the time for demonstrations

Let’s shove our bleeding up their nose
Let’s do it eloquently in prose
Let’s show them the products we chose
And the stains upon our clothes

No more pretending we do not bleed
No more tampons up our sleeves
Let your vulva waft in the breeze
It deserves a time of reprise

Make sure you tell everyone you know
When it is time for the big red flow
This horrible stigma is our foe
I am begging you please, let it go

No more hiding behind a wall of shame
It is time we upped our game
Time for our periods to be reclaimed
Tell them they are not to blame

People that bleed make a stand
Having a uterus can be grand
So no more warring in these lands
We all have blood on our hands

It is time to let the stigma go
To educate those that do not know
To talk openly about our menstrual flow
To help everyone’s understanding grow
