It Was Pie Day — Yesterday

the content’s late, not my fault, daylight savings time.
Candidly, I’m not sure, where I went astray,
after springing forward, I lost a whole damn day.
Did you know Al Einstein, was birthed date of Pie Day?
Born in eighteen-seventy-nine, this is not hearsay.
Same date, Stephen Hawking finally broke earth’s chains.
Pie Day’s also known for some really famous brains.
Apple pie Al’s fav’rite, but if he’s pressed he might
change his mind to cherry faster than the speed of light.
Steve said : “I will eat ‘em all, even lima bean,”
then he added, “I will not pay more than 3.14.”
Bet you wondered why a pie is almost always round.
Found some circular logic that wasn’t so profound.
Cakes are square, and I don’t care, too much craziness.
