Mother’s Day At A Distance

Sung to “M-O-T-H-E-R” (the word that means the world to me):

C is for we’re cuarantined on Mom’s Day
O means just us oldsters by ourselves
R is for remembering what’s horseplay
O is for owls missing from store shelves(?)
N is for no kids; we can get naked
A means all we need is adult flicks
Sorry, hugs are virtual while locked down
She wants hugs — a problem I can fix!

V is for no visitors on Mom’s Day
I means Dad’s intentions aren’t that pure
R is for that movie rated risqué
U’s for urges urgent, she’s unsure
S is for sequestered seniors sexing
S
is — second S(?), mind’s hit the skids
While we’re waiting for the kids to FaceTime,
I can show you how we made the kids!

And now, Eddy Arnold sings the original “M-O-T-H-E-R” (a word that means the world to me). The original lyrics are below.
