Of Colanders and Tin-Foil Hats

Who’s Crazy, Who’s Sane?

Mortimer Pratt
Wore a tin-foil hat
To keep thought controllers at bay;
Oliver Sidlow
Covered his windows
In foil-wrap and silver duct-tape;
But Jennifer Hollander
Preferred a colander,
And several good reasons she gave…
“My colander’s brighter, and thrifty, and lighter:
It’s airy in summer and, lined with cucumber,
It doubles a hair masque with thwarting those broadcasts;
It’s jolly with holly;
Why, tin-foil’s just folly;
Besides, it’s old fashioned
And soon to be rationed —
TP was the first, but, by far, not the worst;
So, I tell you my friend,
For protecting your brain,
Keep your colander close —
Now, who’s crazy, who’s sane?”
