that blindfold our hopes
and smother our dreams?

Is darkness descending now
once and for all?
Can we ever escape
being pinned to the wall?

What is it that makes me now
feel so weak?
What is it that strangles
the words I would speak?

Which way should we go?
Which path should we take?
