He was the hunk the ladies eyed.
There’s more than one would be his bride,
But little int’rest he had shown
for gettin’ hitched. He’d been alone
in spite of many women flirts
in biz attire and some short shirts.

He surely knew they were stalking
their male prey. They weren’t just gawking.
They were single, wanted husbands,
most the single guys were cousins.
Even small town friends disparage
set’ling for an inbred marriage.

Friends said, “Don’t take this as flippant,
one night stands aren’t a commitment.
While you play the field like you want,
why avoid the offers they flaunt?
Sure your scruples are norm’ly right,
but have your conscience throw the fight.”

“Sure, I could have lots more fun,
but holdin’ out for the right one.
I quit looking in the city,
left behind some very pretty.
Now…
