We March

We march against tyranny
Risking life and limb
Some elders march wearily
Tired, yet inspired
As if by some Holy hymn

Marching shoulder to shoulder
Even as pandemic raged
All colors, most young, some older
Keep walking, talking,
Through this ‘Domination age’

With every wave of pestilence
A few will surely fall
Fire and fever rage on, intense
We grieve, yet believe
We must answer Freedom’s call

Not to get our hair done,
Not a manicure,
But marching for true freedom
To feel, real
Peace, in every heart, to stir

Equality is calling
Through centuries soaked in blood
We march, even some falling,
Should our desire end in fire
Justice still flows on, in flood
