We’re witnessing a transformation in how people eat.

Over 30 million Americans have tried weight loss injections like Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro.

These drugs heavily curb people’s appetite, sometimes cutting the daily caloric intake by 1,000 calories!

That’s pretty bad news for anyone in the business of selling food. And we’re already seeing the fallout.

Ozempic: Transforming Market Dynamics

A Morgan Stanley report shows that people taking these weight-loss drugs are cutting their grocery spending by up to nine percent, especially slashing down on snacks and sweets.

Walmart has also voiced their complaints, sharing that Ozempic users are buying fewer items.

Some economic reports even suggest that the sluggish performance of many food stocks in 2023 was due to the launch of these weight loss drugs.

Well that might be going a bit too far… It’s hard to draw a straight line from the launch…
