Here we are once again

As the Derek Chauvin trial comes to a close, I am reminded of the gutwrenching fury I felt when I watched and heard people say they “needed more evidence” regarding the murder of George Floyd.
We all watched Chauvin publicly execute this man. Yet, there are many that are convinced that George Floyd is responsible for his own death. This trial has highlighted, once again, the continually grotesque fervor to find ways to demonize and dehumanize George Floyd.
This country is not interested in upholding justice.
It is intentionally interested in victimizing murderers at the expense of Black Lives.
This country must brace itself for war in the streets as “no justice” is often the verdict chosen to define how America values Black Lives.
