Motivation to Get Things Done

When it comes to doing ANYTHING, it takes a matter of motivation to ultimately get it done, but most of us sometimes lack the motivation to push through and complete things in one go. I recently read a post from a fellow classmate of mine named Kaitlyn Abel, and she talks about how to motivate yourself, and how it really makes a significant impact on your life when you simply start changing your outlook. Kaitlyn writes daily updates about her self-motivation journey, and how she is feeling about her upcoming tasks. Abel also explains something called intrinsic motivation, which she defines as “simply the enjoyment you get out of an activity for its own sake.”. She also explains how “The importance of this, specifically in the workplace is that after completing a task, the employee is rewarded by the behavior itself.”, which basically means you should get into the habit of feeling so rewarded after completing a task to where it doesn’t take much for you to tackle another assignment. Motivation can be given from external forces, but the most important way to motivate yourself is simply by you, and just pushing yourself to get a task done really helps you build your self character and fixing things like time management.
