When young minds read books, they shape their views of characters and the world.

First thing first, let us start with a real question

Why do we read books?

For pleasure

For knowledge

for entertainment

Fictional heroes

Most fictional heroes are men. They are presented in a way that makes the audience feel connected and urged to belong. From the beginning to the end, we impatiently await how the story will end. As an audience, we want to see a happy ending, and in most cases, the writer does that regardless of how toxic one can be.

We admire heroes for everything, from their dressing sense, intelligence, looks, ways of talking, behaviors, choice of words, goodness, kindness, and the way they stand up for their mission. When we fall in love with any character, we start falling in love with whatever they will be doing.

And then we start comparing our real lives with fictional characters; they become our ideals and we want people like them in our real lives, intentionally or…
