The Lazy Person’s Guide to Time Management
3 Rules That Actually Stick
There have been days, when I tried waking up at 5 a.m. to “get things done.” Well....by lunchtime, I used to get tired and feel grumpy.
Then, after struggling for a long time, I learned- maybe you do not need to do more…..it’s okay to do less, but it’s important do it better.
This is how I stopped stressing:
Rule 1: Do Only ONE Important Thing Each Day
I used to list 10 tasks in my to do list...then after completing just two of them, I used to feel tired. Now, I pick one thing— like “call the doctor today” or let's say, “pay bills.” After I finish it, I stop. Well....guess what? Small wins always add up.
Rule 2: Do All Annoying Tasks at Once
Every Sunday at 3 p.m., I clean, pay my bills( after the salary is credited), and shop the groceries online— all in one-two hours. Then I am free all week.
Tip: Make sure to play loud music while cleaning.
