I just cast my vote for the next president of the United States.

You’re damn right I’m feeling optimistic. The alternative is too horrific to process. I’ve been on this pollercoaster for too long. It’s made of wood and there’s only a lap belt. The drops are fucking rough, friends. Screaming all the way down. The highs, well, you’re still in a wooden rollercoaster with a frayed lap belt but the birds are singing and it’s 72 degrees.

But you still think there’s a high possibility of death around the next curve.

Today, Reason takes a stand against Chaos.

Today, the good outnumber the bad, the wise outnumber the mouthbreathing knuckledraggers.

Collectively, it’s every American’s duty to reprimand That Fucking Guy for his crimes against our country, for unleashing the era of unchecked assholery, for demonizing science and truth, for holding us hostage for a decade with his grotesque narcissism and indecorous rhetoric.

I don’t want to marginalize Kamala Harris’ excellent campaign nor her qualifications as a candidate (if you’re one of those “both options are terrible” people, you aren’t fucking paying attention — or you’re a misogynist. Both could definitely be true), but today we exorcise our country’s malignant tumor.

For everyone that TFG has been demonized, from immigrants to minorities to women to truth speakers to the LGBTQ community… for everyone that has suffered… for everyone that has experienced anxiety at the sound of his voice… for everyone knocking on doors on behalf of the Harris campaign and suffering the rebukes of petulent man-children… for everyone who has lost family and friends to the MAGA cult… for everyone who fears for their own safety when they see a swastika or white hood… for everyone, top to bottom, left to right, north and south who’s just had fucking enough… I dedicate this song to Donald Fucking Trump, the twice-impeached 34-time felon, adjudicated rapist, and all around terrible fucking excuse for a human.

Today we vote. Tomorrow you fuck off.
