These are the 5 places in Fort Collins to go to when needing to buy in bulk to fill your reusable containers, whether it be food, detergent or shampoo. All of these places have reusable containers and bags to make it easier for you to start your sustainable journey.

Mountain Avenue Market

250 E. MOUNTAIN AVENUE, FORT COLLINS, CO 80524

Mountain Avenue Market is a co-op but anyone can shop there, though members get special discounts and added perks. This market is a pretty good place to start when wanting to buy eco-friendly products and/or refill your containers to reduce waste. Here are some of the things they offer.

  1. Liquid bulk section (refill vanilla extract, olive oil, shampoo and so much more!)
  2. Over 160 herbs and spices. You can buy as much or as little as you need!
  3. Dried goods (coffee, pasta, oats, flour, beans and so much more!)
  4. Soap bars with no plastic.
  5. Bamboo toothbrushes.

Brand Spanking Used

227 S. College Ave. Ft. Collins, CO 80524

Another way of bein sustainable and eco-friendly is by buying used things! When you donate and buy from thrift stores, you are keeping tons out of the landfills. This is one of my favorite thrift stores in Fort Collins and a great way to be sustainable! They have many options;

  1. Used clothing
  2. Used accessories
  3. Costumes
  4. Furniture
  5. Books

Being eco-friendly is not just about buying eco-friendly things, it’s also about trying to keep the most you can out of landfills!
