NoctaCam 3 is out, with three powerful new features:

  • Long exposures
  • Black and white
  • Zoom

Here’s a long exposure photo taken with NoctaCam, showing you a perspective you can’t see with your naked eyes:

You can also capture the hustle and bustle of city life, telling a story via your photo:

Water bodies become mirrors:

Long exposures require a tripod, but sometimes, breaking the rules can produce interesting results, almost like an oil painting:

In addition to capturing movement and enabling a whole bunch of creative effects, long exposures have no noise. Look in the sky:

This photo is also impressively clear and sharp. Here’s a crop:

Look carefully, and you can read the tiny train numbers printed above and below the arrows (12676 and 12677). Who’d have thought you can get that level of quality from a smartphone, that too at night?!

In addition to long exposure, NoctaCam has a zoom, which works much better than the iPhone camera app’s zoom:

Finally, here’s NoctaCam’s black and white in action:

The world looks different in black and white, a perspective we’ve lost touch with nowadays since all cameras can shoot color.

In addition to all these features, we’re working on enhancements for future versions. We’re enhancing these features we’ve already launched — long exposure, zoom and black and white mode— and investigating many more features like light trails, star photography and timelapse to launch in future versions.
