Nodle is excited to release testing for geolocation NFTs. This new feature allows NODL holders to mint photo NFTs tied to their current location by adding GPS coordinates to the photo.

You can mint NFTs that show your current coordinates or an image of the nearest landmark, along with a description that will be visible to anyone who views it — creating a great way to show off your location and let others know where the NFT was created.

Users can also mint a photo NFT without adding a location, providing a unique way to store a special moment on-chain without disclosing the event’s location.

This release is an experiment based on community requests and direct feedback. The Nodle app showcases the capabilities of the Nodle Network and the innovative ways a geolocation layer can be leveraged across dApps.

Android users will be among the first to have access to the new feature currently in beta testing. Those using iOS devices can expect access in the first quarter of 2023. In addition to being able to mint and send Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) in the Nodle app, in later iterations, users should be able to use in-app purchases for minting NFTs. More ways to share content will be offered in the future, allowing users to mint photos from their galleries and short videos.

Save moments and places by creating unique NFTs.

Using blockchain technology, users can create private collectibles certified as unique by cryptography. Geolocation NFTs offer a new way to save moments and places and share proof of location and participation. The NFTs will be stored in the user’s Nodle wallet and can be traded or sold.

This new feature will allow users to create and mint their unique geolocation-based NFTs, which can be viewed, managed, and traded in the app. Geolocation NFTs can represent real-world locations or virtual locations in games or other online platforms.

Minting in 3 easy steps.

  • Go to the wallet and click “Mint your NFT.”
  • Take a photo, add an optional description and mint your NFT.
  • Congratulations! It is that easy. The NFT can be viewed and shared from your wallet.

Creating unique collections and sharing experiences.

If you’ve ever wanted to create something unique and exciting, why not start with a collection of your own? NFTs are the perfect way to get creative in building your own collection of digital items that can be shared. As the world continues on an ever-evolving digital journey, sending NFTs to friends is a great way to stay connected.

The Nodle team is currently working on adding more customization options for users, as well as integrating with other NFT platforms in the future. User feedback is encouraged so that the team can continue to improve the feature.

To mint your geolocation NFT, simply download the latest version of the Nodle app and follow the instructions in the “Mint” section.
