Depriving young people of the country they call home, by design
What would you do if the child you had birthed & raised were denied residency in the country where you live legally and where your child has always lived? The Home Office is sending Prepare to Leave letters to EU citizens with lives wholly based in the UK.
A child as young as 16 has been declined Permanent Residency. What does that mean for that young person’s plans for A levels or Apprenticeship, for FE or university? Do you leave your life because your not-quite-adult child is no longer permitted to stay? Where do you go?
My daughter’s peers are facing this situation (whether or not they consciously know it). Sit with that thought.
Their parents are facing that. Imagine it’s you in their shoes.
And then do something.
Learn enough to be effective.
