Welcome back to our bi-weekly development update where we demonstrate all the recent work that our developers produced or are still working on. Here’s what our developers have been busy with over the last two weeks.

Work on Software Defined Network (SDN):

NOIA Network Backbone:

- Started our testing on new network backbone by using 4 providers with EU/USA locations. It acts as our global lab used for DEV environment with software on top of it.

- Started running our Demo network backbone for demo purpose. Demo is using SRv6 VPP scripts in order to change steering packages paths and Grafana/ElasticSearch (with Kibana on top) to show the demo results. We can now demonstrate SRv6 abilities.

NOIA Network Software updates:

- NOIA Network BI — continuing our work on proactive service to recalculate paths by itself and additionally calculate alternative paths.

- NOIA Network Agent — continuing our preparation for deployment and building scripts for software in order to make it fully automated.

-Did a makeover to our IPv6 local sid generator due to our provider’s IPv6 CIDR limitation.

- Refactored NOIA Network Agent’s Python code so that we could automatically deploy it to multiple servers.

- NOIA Network Controller UI — create network backbone topology view on the world map.

- NOIA Network Controller UI — connected our topology graph with Monitoring(elastic search) data. It will enable us to visually track how packets travel through servers.

Work on NOIA Cache:

- Working on gathering more statistics from NOIA Cache Nodes in order to understand what kind of hardware Nodes are using.

- Working on SDK Fallback for Video players improvements.

Stay tuned for more updates!
