We’re starting the week with our first ever Weekly Development Update.

Here’s what happened last week (19–25 of March) in NOIA’s development division.

We progressed further with our MVP development which targets 16th of April as our major milestone. By then we will have:

  • A CSL (Content Scaling Layer) controller service with a scalable cloud architecture and its initial implementation running on Amazon AWS;
  • A CSL master node suite that can be run by NOIA team and its partners. It will be used to manage and supervise NOIA nodes;
  • A NOIA node client that you can run on your computer with a graphical interface. Here you will see the ongoing network activity and earn NOIA demo token over Ethereum testnet.

Our development team also had multiple productive architecture sessions:

  • Miao, Justinas and Danielius have reviewed the architecture and proceeded to the development.
  • Our CDN architect Virginijus gave us some important insights into live-video streaming CDN’s. He also provided the team with a deep examination of current topological aspects of CDN infrastructure.
  • Our blockchain advisor Anatoly Ressin from Blockvis gave us some insights about Blockchain development and how to host scalable Ethereum node clients.
  • Our quant developer Vytas has started to model our traffic adaptation model.

We’ve migrated to Git organization, and we’ll release NOIA node client and NOIA/CSL governance (a set of smart contracts on Ethereum) to the public soon.

Meanwhile, Justinas and Danielius have made these developments for our Proof-of-concept version:

  • Fixed crash in the NOIA node.
  • Made it possible for the client to be run as a service.

This week we’ll be deploying the nodes and releasing the demo page to our website.

Stay tuned!
