Here’s a closer look at the one of the more important aspects of the recently announced Baltneta/NOIA Network partnership.

As Baltneta is one of the largest ISP’s in the Baltic and Nordic regions, one very significant ongoing issue it faces is how to employ its unused resources. Since peak time usage demands typically drive an ISP’s capacity requirements, at other than peak times, these same resources largely remain underutilized and represent a real opportunity cost.

Being fully committed to supporting NOIA, Baltneta will be thoroughly testing the NOIA Node Client on its own systems. In so doing, Baltneta is keen to analyze the strength of the business case for using NOIA as a means of addressing the issue of excess capacity at non peak times.

Together, Baltneta and NOIA will be working to develop nothing less than a brand new business opportunity — an opportunity that will benefit not only Baltneta, but also, the literally tens of thousands of other ISP’s located throughout the world dealing with the same issue of under utilized capacity.

In other words, this is a truly momentous and decisive development for NOIA.
