Telegram passport is an authentication system that allows you to store your personal data and login on third-party services using your Telegram Account, without having to enter any other info: it is really similar to that “login with Facebook” we already know.

As the name says, Telegram passport is a real virtual passport: you just need to download the latest version of the app and manually enter your name, surname, date of birth etc, or scan your ID card.

Noku embraces this innovative feature: it is now possible for you to register a Noku Account simply signing up with Telegram; your data are saved in the Telegram cloud using End-to-End Encryption, which means that they are not accessible by anyone, not even by the same Telegram team. They are shared only with the service requesting it, after receiving your authorization.

As we can read on the Telegram blog post dedicated to the topic, your data are “encrypted with a password that only you know, so Telegram has no access to the data you store in your Telegram passport.” The company has also made it known that in future all information will be historicized on decentralized servers, so as to further increase the level of security of the procedure.
