First thing’s first, what’s your name and how old are you?

Marcel, 31 years old.

And what do you do, workwise?

Freelance UI/UX Designer

What was it that attracted you to Nomad House (or coliving in general)?

Being part of a group of like-minded people & knowledge-sharing.

Where were you before joining?

Travelling SEA for 5 months [with his twin brother, Silvio. Read Silvio’s interview here]

What advice have you found most helpful, since beginning to travel and work remotely?

Get out of your comfort zone.

Which lessons will you be taking from Nomad House?

People are awesome and joining a coliving program is a lot of fun and feels like having a family abroad.

How has Nomad House shaped your future?

It was a great time being part of Nomad House and be able to discuss (business) ideas with people from different backgrounds. #inspirationboost

How do you feel about this lifestyle now — how do you think it will grow, and will you be trying more coliving programs in the future?

Coliving programs are a great way of sharing skills and experience a country as a group you immediately feel connected to.

And a quickfire round…

Describe your gear setup [what do you take with you, your essential ‘in kit’ items]

Laptop, headphones, external mouse.

Describe your essential apps.

Trello, Photoshop, GDrive, Slack, Wifi Map.

Describe your travel stack [your preferred websites for booking travel].

Skyscanner, Agoda, Trivago and direct booking (especially for airlines).

Where can people get in touch with you?

thinking-twins.net

This is Silvio and Marcel’s project website. Together, they make the Thinking Twins.

Read the interview with Marcel’s twin brother here. If you’d like to take part in a Retreat like Budapest, maybe in Mexico, Bali or Lisbon, take a look at our Itinerary here.

Nomad House creates experiences around the world where you can meet like-minded people, focus on your goals and find that #inspirationboost (as Marcel mentioned!). Check out Nomad House Retreats.
