Elon Musk is not dumb. He knows that campaigning for Trump carries extreme risk if Harris wins the election.

If you are progressive, you would be tempted to just assume that Elon Musk is a selfish billionaire capitalist who is just doing the typical tycoon thing, wielding influence over politicians and subverting the political system for his own benefit.

If you are a progressive, though, you have to admit that even billionaires are smart enough to buy off all sides of the political spectrum, not over commit themselves to just one side like Musk seems to be doing right now. True, the American class of the ultra-wealthy typically favor the Democratic Party over the Republican Party; however, they still do typically give Republicans a lot of cash as well, even if not as much.

So, why would a smart billionaire Musk go all in for just one candidate like Trump?

Because Musk knows that humanity’s fate depends on it.

Musk knows that humanity needs resource bases off Earth to help people on Earth when civilization-ending disasters regularly occur.

a storehouse on Mars with packages of food ready to send back to Earth when any one of the regular civilization-ending disasters hit

Musk also knows that humanity’s overall population is about to start crashing hard because modern women do not have children above the replacement rate of at least on average 2.1…

Too many supposed peacemakers hide their reliance on the violence of police enforcement even from themselves. Violence is physical, not verbal. Humanity has a duty to envision new ways to prevent violence (government or not) & solve other problems voluntarily without coercion.
