Resolving Left-Right Conflict Over Private School Vouchers with Radical Democracy

All over the United States, leftwing progressive nihilist Democrats are increasingly turning against private school vouchers and defending failing public school systems and their teachers’ unions. Meanwhile, conservative Republicans are making slow but steady progress expanding school voucher programs.

While this Non-Violence publication strongly supports private school vouchers, it recognizes that the school voucher systems right now have no proven mechanism to prevent extremists of any sort from getting their own schools funded.

This article offers a radical democracy solution that will provide such a mechanism to avoid funding extremists as well as establishing a basis for the left and right in America to reach a truce in their conflict over this issue by leaving the matter up to the people of local counties to democratically choose whether to support private school vouchers or not.

Supervising Private Schools

Let us suppose that a small group of neo-Nazi parents sets up a non-profit school and tries to get voucher money. The only provision in Florida’s voucher qualification rules for private schools that might stop this effort would be the requirement to comply with federal anti-discrimination law.
