The Democratic Party Could Strengthen Democracy Before Trump, But Won’t
Strengthening recall of the President under the 25th Amendment would strengthen democracy.
Since Trump is older at his second election than Biden was when he was elected, we all know there is a very good chance that Trump’s mind will start deteriorating even more quickly and sooner than Biden’s did.
When this happens, are Democrats going to want to remove Trump under the 25th Amendment?
Republicans are not going to take this demand seriously when everyone knew that Biden’s mind was too far gone in 2020 before he was originally elected, despite Democrats gaslighting everyone for years since to pretend otherwise.
However, Democrats have the two month window between Trump’s second election in November 2024 and his inauguration in January 2025 to repent from their years of gaslighting for Biden. Democrats could remove Biden before Trump’s inauguration.
Then, in 2026 or so when Trump shows clearer signs of mental deterioration than he displayed at the time of his second election in the fall of 2024, Democrats will have some moral authority to demand that Trump be removed for the same reason.
