It’s now been a quarter century since Michael Moore burst onto the documentary scene and busted it open for more mainstream audiences with a more entertainment-minded approach to nonfiction cinema. Moore’s first film, Roger & Me, made its debut at the Telluride Film Festival on September 1, 1989, followed by a quick acquisition by Warner Bros. and theatrical release that December.

To commemorate the anniversary, the studio is now putting out a special remastered home video edition of the doc, including the film’s first Blu-ray release, which features a new commentary track from the filmmaker. The DVD and Blu-ray are both out this coming Tuesday.

And we’ve got a copy of the Blu-ray of this 25th Anniversary release to giveaway to one lucky Nonfics subscriber. Here’s the simple two-step process required to enter:

1. Be a subscriber to our email list. If you don’t already subscribe, you can do so by entering your email up on the top left side of this screen.

2. Email editor@nonfics.com with the subject “ROGER AND ME!”

The winner will be chosen and contacted on Tuesday, October 7. To be eligible, you must be 18 and live in the United States.
