Publica

The world is divided into two distinct spheres. The public and the private.

You are born into whatever sphere you parents are in at the time of your birth. Shortly after birth every baby is connected to the network by implant. If you are born in public your connection is unlocked and open. You cannot hide. Everything you think and feel is public and available to everyone. Corporations automatically have access and are able to sell you just what you want.

If you want privacy you have to pay to lock your connection. But if you can’t afford it you have to occupy the public sphere where you are compelled to make everything about you known to all. In public everything is free but you have no personal agency and no personal rights.

If you want rights, agency and determinism you must pay and remove yourself from the public sphere. You remain connected to the network so you can receive information in but you are able to block thoughts and feelings from going out. As soon as you are unable to pay you are immediately switched from privacy you control to publicness which you cannot.
