Did you know that there are 19 types of smiles but only 6 of them are meant for happiness? According to researchers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, out of those 6 types of smiles, people tend to switch between 3 — REWARD, AFFILIATION, and DOMINANCE.
There are so many reasons to smile but the most common is — GRATITUDE.
Being grateful makes you happy and happiness brings a Smile! We all find happiness while receiving something, which makes us smile. But what about when we do not receive anything?
Be grateful for EVERYTHING you receive in your life.
It’s astounding how a simple “Thank you” can positively change the course of your life. Once we begin to be grateful to each and everything around us we start getting happier. But the real challenge is — being thankful for the negative things that come into our lives.
Be grateful for the sad times
Bad times are the most potent teachers we get in our lives and we should be grateful for them. It not only helps us grow but makes us realize the real power we have within us. It gives us the experience of living in tough conditions and you no longer fear the bad devil. When you are in bad times, your imagination power gets tougher. You get resourceful, you get creative.
Be grateful for what you have, not what you don’t
We often get caught up in thoughts about the upcoming life and invite negative thoughts. We end up crawling into the thoughts of what we don’t have. Life isn’t the dreamland that we think — It’s the one-shot take, on what’s happening around us. Don't focus on what you don't have in your hand, focus on your present.
