Katatonic Silentio — Prisoner Of The Self

Resident: Bristol Normcore
Label: Bristol Normcore

Soundsmith and technology rebel Katatonic Silentio is back one year after their first personal release.
Bass missiles, encompassing atmospheres & killer fast focused drums shots. Everything is intently encased in an emancipation act, an insurgent statute against our own oppression.

A Seven track pathway leading to a final act of awareness and deliverance from ourselves.

VA — WINDOW A / WINDOW B

Resident: Nice Strangers
Label: Sagome

Sound artists and musicians compose two personal soundscapes that reflect their perception of the Indoor and Outdoors: WINDOW A and WINDOW B. This imaginary journey and discovery of new spaces through sound recreates a sense of community.

All the proceeds from the sales will be donated to Sportello TiAscolto!, a charity committed to offer sustainable and affordable mental health support to people affected by COVID-19 crisis in Italy.

SRS — Data Fossil

Resident: Long Delays
Label: Bokeh Versions

Sludge machine music slapped through the infinite mixing desk by SRS — the combined mind of Sunun and Robin Stewart.

Recorded on the rooftop of a housing project in 2018, the two Bristol locals debuted the live/unplanned collaboration in an inflatable arena called ‘Toldo’ in the Brunswick Club ballroom (RIP). If Data Fossil is hard to describe — it’s just the sound of the musical freedom of a city that will never run dry.

Broshuda/Yata DSP — Split

Resident: Plaque
Label: Plaque

This is a rebirth quest.

In dank and steamy chambers, self professed Eno-grime peddler and purveyor of fine glambient Broshuda coughs out hot, pixellated vapour at bequest of the Plaque overlords.

Once the orbs settle, the kind and gentle ghost he has summoned slowly begins to evolve, levelling up into his new, more powerful ishvara.

2020 welcomes Yata DSP.

Angelo Repetto —
Kamiokande EP

Resident: Subject To Restrictions
Label: Subject To Restrictions Discs

The music of Angelo Repetto’s music overflows with a distinct kind of optimistic melancholy. There is always this touch of euphoric sadness in his melodies, underscored by his distinctively deep and heavy baselines.

The Zurich producer is best-known for his live-sets, a favourite amongst dancers in Zurich’s alternative scene. Neu Verboten gave ‘Time Split’ a club-friendly retouch, reinventing the dimensions of Repetto’s original vision.

Pun Collins — DYING TOGETHER

Resident: Them There
Label: Them There Records

Following on from his previous LP, 2018’s minimalist-pop ‘Lunar Influence’, ‘Dying Together’ proves a natural progression for Axel Lacan as he further explores the peripheries of post-genre dance music for an optimistic perspective on the end times. Prophetic themes of isolation are a linchpin to Lacan’s often bleak narratives. In navigating us through this new record, Lacan searches for the dim lights on the horizon, frequently weaving in moments of sheer new-age ecstasy so as never to let the vibe settle.
