Welcome back, we’re here in the bin again. This time featuring a delightful selection (as always to be fair) of everything from the complex sound ruminations of Scott Young on the always fantastic OOH-Sounds, an hour of blissful ambience on Lust Pattern from Always From the Same Angle, that Soma Soma given album given the remix treatment as well as much more. Stick your head in the bin see what you can hear.

Split: Jónbjörn & Torolf Stendik

Resident: O To O
Label: OO Recordings

Fusion of two Nordic talents for another instalment on OO Recordings. Jónbjörn gives you deep rainforest vibes, woozy melodies, breaks, and plenty of atmosphere.

On the B-side, Torolf Stendik offers up some spaced-out, balearic treats.

Two distinct sides working in harmony, best consumed in a deck chair.

Scott Young — Post Peace

Resident: OOH-Sounds
Label: OOH-Sounds

Once again we plunge into the murky welcome waters of OOH-Sounds, this time providing us with a three track from Scott Young.

Rattling, scuttling cuts of sound design dancing around your ears, occasional suggestions of chords and all out noise. Well it’s covering many bases and all with the flare of a producer deep in their craft.

Truly great music and kept interesting throughout. Go grab the record while its hot.

Best Available Technology — Better2Never EP

Resident: Sonics Proper
Label: Euphonic Rhythms

6 tracks of phantasmal ambient goodness from Best Available Technology.

Dreamy, glitchy, dubby explorations with lush production, crisp organic sounds and rich textures coiling over each other.

Ideal soundtrack for losing yourself in a thought loop in a thought loop in a thought loop…

J. Campbell — The Cormorant

Resident: Vacast
Label: Vaagner

The ever prolific Vaagner back with another, the air of a label to go down in history this one, seriously consistent and always attention grabbing.

This one from J. Campbell in the form of spaced out glowing chords swaying in and out of gulps of water and field recording textures.

Sometimes wistful, sometimes calm, always beautiful. Highly recommend for a better afternoon.

Soma Soma Feat. K.O.G— Saudade Remixed

Resident: Ngolo Ngolo Disco w/ Jonny Mintaka
Label: Soma Soma

Back for another round, here’s Saudade Remixed. Lots of different flavours from dub, disco, and even the odd bass line.

A lot to digest in here but get amongst it for warm, blissed out samba dub, que lindo! A mixed bag of remixes to shake ya bunda to.

George John — OIAIO EP

Resident: Misumi Beach Selections
Label: Blaq Numbers

Three faithfully house twinged numbers laden with classic synth mastery and all the relevant accoutrements, straight from the man George John.

Sit back, recline, relax, put your most expensive sunglasses on, bask in the sun, or at least pretend its there.. and enjoy, he’s done all the hard work for you.

Always From the Same Angle — Always From the Same Angle

Resident: Lust Pattern
Label: Lust Pattern

Okay so, 57 minutes of all out ambient recordings spaced onto a cassette ready for your listening pleasure? Need I say more?

I mean I will, because a release of this caliber warrants it. First off, Lust Pattern we all know them, we love every release. Yeah well this one is no different..

Chords like stretching out in the morning aching with last nights sombre. Rhythms like floating home after the dinner of your life, all smothered in hiss designed to set you to calm. Get it, you wont be sorry.
