Traveler Muhammad al-Idrisi completed his life’s work with the most accurate map of the world yet produced, along with its accompanying commentaries. Dj Eminflex revisiting the music of the twelfth century and the Sicilian dialectical repertoire, in folk noise & medieval style.

Ritualistic machine sermons out of Austria from Rosa Nebel for this essential EP excursion on Tutamen. Six cuts taking in full-spectrum techno-chug via industrial & body-musick highlights picked from a live outing at Vienna’s Das Werk.

VA (Bokeh Allstars) — Mutual Aid 2020

Resident: Avon Terror Corps
Label: Bokeh Versions

17 tracks breathe in the whole history of what they would never themselves call ‘the Bokeh sound’. From the sci-fi digi to dancehall sampling shoegaze chuggers, B-movie horror drill, industrial spoken word, euphoric steppas, surf-indebted metallic roots, acid goths remixing gqom. This is all they’ve ever been about.

Many tracks are from releases that never happened for various reasons. Mutual Aid 2020 is an alternative and future history of Bokeh.

ckeener — decoration

Resident: Them There
Label: Them There

Carl Brown announces a new project ckeener and turns in his first album for Them There. ‘Decoration’ sees a swift sidestep for Brown, bridging the unfettered field recording led work as Preston Field Audio with Them There Records’ principal pop absurdity. Using found sounds and grabaciones collected on an iPhone and Zoom for over two years, Brown has shaped an album of raucous plunderphonics and freesound sampledelia.

Raash Records — RV/A 002

Resident: Raash Records
Label: Raash Records

Jerusalem’s Raash Records presents RVA 02 — 19 new tracks bringing forth the contemporary sounds of their hometown underground. Artists ranging from veteran sonic terrorists such as Black Chama, Meira Asher, and Latifa Punk to youngbloods being heard here for the very first time.
In its core, this is a snapshot from the collective consciousness of sworn individualists. The sound of an urban tribe.
