Start of the Autumn months and we’re all starting to get cold. Why not make a cup of tea and go through the bin? It’s well worth it this month — Scalping remix album with some serious names, another amazing OOH-Sounds compute-noise thing, freaked out forward thinking electronics on Plaque and as ever, much more. Go for it.

Boulderhead — Sublight Communications

Resident: Afternoon Selections w/ Boulderhead
Label: Self-Released

Long time resident Boulderhead here with a self-released five track detailing fast paced club stompers, alien groovers and all other types of soundtracks fit for intergalactic travel.

Go grab it and support, beam yourself into the future.

Scalping — Flood Remixed

Resident: Scalping
Label: Self-Released

Scalping’s remix album for the acclaimed ‘ Flood’ LP they had out earlier this year.

Featuring contributions from familiar names across the board we have Laurel Halo’s stripped back take, Hodge’s percussive tour-de-force, Object Blue’s freaky version and many more remixes well worth diving into.

This thing is a great addition to an already incredible album. You know what to do.

Vontier & Mago —
Derrumbes Y Escaleras (Chez de Milo & Zillas on Acid Remixes)

Resident: Magic Carpet Ride w/ Chez De Milo
Label: Duro

Club Blanco bossman Chez De Milo’s take on this Vontier & Mago track.

Stripped back to what it needs — persistent percussion, crisp as you like, maintaining a groove to keep you marching all night long.

WESQK COAST — Clava

Resident: OOH-Sounds
Label: OOH-Sounds

Where to start with this one. Out on OOH-Sounds and courtesy of WESQK COAST, we have a serious treat.

Poised between the organic and the alien, this album warps and contorts down a meandering trail, you’ll be sad to have found yourself at the end of it.

It’s been on repeat for me since I heard it and I’m still not done with it. Go check it ASAP.

Kej— Un Hombre

Resident: Wormhole w/ Kej
Label: Self-Released

As the second part of the ‘Imaginary 12" Series’ of instrumentals, here Kej takes us for a long meandering trip through his own musical flavour.

Persistent percussions leading a gentle splattering of synth softness. Warm and glistening this piece is fit to take you deep into yourself.

Well worth checking the rest of his releases if you haven’t already.

Broken Audio — Nocturnal Entropy EP

Resident: Slow-Burning Morning Dew
Label: Perty

Edition of fifty cassettes out containing the new album from Broken Audio.

The album takes shape as ambient musing and murky rhythm tracks, all with the flavour of a producer who knows what he wants to do.

Organic and heady, this is not one to miss out on.

Új Bála — Old Air

Resident: Plaque
Label: Plaque

Weirdo freaked out electronics coming from this two track 12" by Hungary’s Új Bála.

Raw, cutting synth squelches sitting on marching kick drums and scuttling hi hats.

Sounds like: alien paranoia; machine anxiety attacks; the Metaverse closing in on itself.

Buy it for a glimpse of whats to come.

Donnie Moustaki — No Signal EP

Resident: Misumi Beach Selection w/ Matthias Fielder
Label: Blaq Numbers

Out on the Blaq Numbers offshoot ‘Cheesy Lover’ sublabel we have a genre bending album sliding between Soul, R&B, Hip Hop, House and all the comes in between.

The whole thing is smattered with Jazz inflection and soulful intention. What a treat to go through from Donnie Moustaki.
