Nori integrates with FarmLogs Powered By Bushel to help more farmers monetize their soil carbon
Simplifying the process of enrolling in carbon markets
At Nori, we’re creating a marketplace that brings transparency and true price discovery to the world of carbon programs. For the past 5 years, we’ve been building tools, talking with growers, and enrolling farmers into our carbon marketplace. From the 15 farmers who have been paid over $1.6 million dollars for the sale of their carbon credits to the many more who are actively working with our team on enrolling their data, we have a foundation of working directly with farmers at every step. We know their pain points and have been steadily growing our marketplace with the farmers whom we serve.
And now that we’ve established that foundation, it’s time to ramp up.
I am thrilled to announce that Nori is now partnering with FarmLogs Powered By Bushel — a team of incredible people who genuinely care about helping the agricultural community thrive. Through partnering with FarmLogs, we are building tools to meet farmers where they’re at, reducing the amount of places they need to enter their data, and continuing to streamline the process of helping farmers financially benefit from soil carbon. We believe that carbon credits are going to be an additional source of income for farmers and by partnering with FarmLogs, we are empowering farmers to financially benefit from their data and simplify the process of enrollment. Our partnership will start with piloting with FarmLogs users in Iowa and then expand to enrolling FarmLogs users nationwide.
We align with FarmLogs on many values, including that of data privacy. Data privacy is a cornerstone of Bushel’s philosophy (read Bushel’s Data Ethos) and we at Nori also believe that a farmer’s data is something they should have full control over. When enrolling in Nori, we will only use farm data to run the carbon models we use to estimate how many carbon credits, or Nori Removal Tonnes (NRTs), their farm could receive (read Nori’s data use policy).
Through our partnership with FarmLogs, we will continue to drive sustainability on a landscape level that is sustainable not only environmentally, but economically for the farmer.
