Nori’s New Whitepaper: Part 1 Summary
An updated look at Nori’s mission to reverse climate change by scaling the carbon removal industry.

Nori is on a mission to reverse climate change. And reversing climate change will require removing billions of tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere. The problem? The carbon removal industry is nowhere near that scale. That’s where Nori comes in. We’re creating the necessary infrastructure and incentives to supercharge the carbon removal industry.
Scaling carbon removal is no small feat. It requires coordinating countless stakeholders, including suppliers who remove carbon, buyers who purchase carbon removal credits, entities involved in measuring and validating carbon removal, and more.
As a result, carbon removal can seem complex. And too often, this complexity becomes a barrier to entry for new participants.
Suppliers balk at the complexity of getting paid for carbon removal. Buyers find it difficult to understand which products suit their needs. New companies and players enter the industry weekly, making it hard to keep up. And many stakeholders have different opinions about how carbon markets and carbon removal should ‘work’!
At times, even Nori’s business may seem super complex, especially from the outside looking in.
We know, all of this may not be news to you. What is newsworthy however is that today, Nori is taking a big step to shine light on its vision and plan to scale carbon removal — all in one place. We’re excited to announce that we’re releasing an updated Nori whitepaper!
