Wed, May 25th:
St. Louis Lions vs Kaw Valley FC
Match Postponed
Racing Louisville FC 6 vs 0 Kings Hammer FC
The only of Wednesday’s three matches that would go ahead. Racing Louisville ran out to a two-nil lead in the first half. Each side would switch goalkeepers at one point in the second half. However that keeper change did not help Kings Hammer who gave up four in the second half to finish the match.
Chicago Dutch Lions vs Chicago City SC
Match Postponed
Thu, May 26th:
Midwest United 3 vs 1 Detroit City FC
After both sides moved from UWS to USLW, the first W League battle between these sides would see Midwest United winning at home in Grand Rapids.
Minnesota Aurora 1 vs 1 Green Bay Glory
Bridgett McDowell did special match coverage of Minnesota Aurora’s first ever match and Green Bay Glory’s W League debut that you can check out. Seth Steffenhagen also did special match day gallery, that you can view as well.
Sat, May 28th:
AFC Ann Arbor 2 vs 2 Indy Eleven
The only Saturday match of the week matched up two Great Lakes Division sides. The hosts, AFC Ann Arbor, came out with the first two goals of the match. Luana Grabias scored for AFCAA just two minutes in for the only goal in the first 45 minutes.
Just seven minutes into the second half, Tracy Akiror gave AFCAA a 2–0 lead. In the 76th minute Madison Williams brought Indy within one with her goal, Molly McLaughlin followed it up just six minutes later to even the match to a draw.
Sun, May 29th:
St. Louis Lions 1 vs 2 Chicago City SC
St. Louis’ Krystal Kohenskey scored the opening goal and the hosts only one of the night in the first half. Chicago City’s Cassidy and Ignoffo scored two goals in the second half to give the visitors their first win of 2022.
Flint City AFC 1 vs 3 Detroit City FC
Another match with another Michigan rival for Detroit City in Flint on Sunday. Just eight minutes into the first half Le Rouge’s Gabriella Pool scored the opener of the match. Jenna Blackburn drew the match back to even with a goal for the hosts in the 21st minute.
DCFC’s Kennedy White scored in the 76th minute with the game winning goal, while Poole secured herself a brace in the 84th with the third goal of the night for Detroit.
Chicago Dutch Lions 0 vs 1 Green Bay Glory
After a draw on Thursday, Green Bay looked to redeem themselves against the W League debuting Chicago Dutch Lions. The lone goal of the night was scored by Skylar Prentice in the second half when for the visitors.
