nOS Token Sale Whitelist Lottery Results + KYC Deadline
The nOS Whitelist Registration has concluded, and now our KYC process has begun! Check out the details below.
Important: During the lottery verification procedure (which took about 40 minutes), you may have seen a “restricted” message. This was unrelated to your lottery entry, so we recommend to check your entry again.
We exceeded 27,000 registered nos.app users and received over 21,000 lottery entries before the deadline.
Out of all lottery participants, 15,000 winners have been selected by our fair selection lottery process described below.
We want to thank everyone for their interest in participating in our token sale.
How to check if you’re a winner
NOTE: If you’re in the pre-sale and have completed the KYC process, your KYC entry will say “Processing”. The instructions below are for the people who participated in the Public Sale Lottery.
- Open nOS Client and sign into nos.app from the client.
- Click on “Check my Whitelist Lottery Results”
- If you’re selected as a winner, you’re able to immediately continue to the KYC form and complete the KYC process.
- You should complete the KYC as soon as possible, as the KYC deadline is October 11th 20:00 CEST (Central European Summer Time)
KYC Deadline
With the end of the lottery comes a new deadline: the KYC process.
You must complete your KYC details before:
Thursday October 11th 20:00 CEST (Central European Summer Time)
Completing your KYC will finalize your entry. When your KYC submission is approved, you will be able to be able to participate in the Token Sale.
As described in our rule-set below: if (after the KYC verification process) there are more than 2,000 invalid or un-entered KYC entries, an additional amount of participants (equal to the amount of invalid KYC entries) will be whitelisted for the token sale using similar rules as the previous lottery.

Lottery Specification
We released two MD5 hashes of our technical rule sets beforehand, which we’re publishing below.
You can find the contents of the most recent rule set below:
# nOS TGE Whitelist Lottery Logic## Provable FairnessFor the duration of the nOS TGE lottery application period, this exact file will remain solely in cold storage, in possession of Dean van Dugteren <dean@nos.io> (nOS Founder & CEO).This file will be published *after* the lottery application period has concluded on October 5th 2018 20:00 CEST.The MD5 hash of this exact file will be published *before* conclusion of the lottery application period, so that participants can verify that the lottery selection process has not been altered in any way after the application process has started.## nOS1. Lottery applicants sign up to nos.app (https://my.nos.app), verify their e-mail address, log in, and navigate to the lottery page indicated by instructions on the nos.app front page (e.g. a button that says "Apply for nOS TGE Whitelist").2. During the lottery application process, users must provide a limited amount of KYC information as a means to increase security against duplicate entries. In the case the user is whitelisted and gets access to the KYC procedure, some information submitted during the lottery application process will be bound to the user during the KYC round.2. nOS Client will bind users' NEO addresses from their nOS Client session to their nos.app user account.3. nOS will extract the last 8 numbers from the SHA256 hash of the users' NEO addresses and will store the resulting value to their account. This value is called the "Identifier".4. nOS will collect the last 8 numbers of the hash (left to right order) of the first block created on or after October 5th 2018 20:00 CEST on the NEO Mainnet. This value is called the "Lottery Key".5. All user accounts on nos.app that applied to the lottery are sorted incrementally by their "Identifier", with the first Identifier being the first value on or after the "Lottery Key". After sorting up to the highest Identifier, the sorting is continued from the lowest Identifier onward. In the off-chance that there are multiple equal "Identifiers", the equal accounts in question will be sorted by their respective NEO addresses via regular sorting (alphabetical & numerical).6. The first 15,000 applicants in the resulting list will gain access to the nOS Token Sale KYC Whitelist.## DisclaimerUser accounts that are suspected of breaking the nOS TGE Terms of Service (https://my.nos.app/terms) will be deleted and restricted from participating in the nOS Token Generation Event. If, after the first KYC round, there are more than 2,000 invalid/declined or un-entered KYC entries, the number equal to the amount of invalid/declined or un-entered KYC entries will be added to a second round application lottery, using the same entries from the first lottery round. The first lottery round's winners are excluded from this second lottery. If there are less than 2,000 invalid/declined or un-entered KYC entries, there will be no second lottery round.
Click here for the original specification. What we updated was the winning number selection: instead of taking 1 number for the Lottery Key, we’re using 8, to make the Lottery Key completely unpredictable.
The Lottery Key was 66094938, generated from the first block on the NEO Mainnet, minted on exactly 20:00:00.
