It’s been about 3 months of hiatus here on Medium. Personally, it has been a time to reflect on my journey both in my career and personal life. It’s been a year since I started my path to becoming a designer, and July makes it 1year of working at a newly formed startup.

It’s been a hell of a ride, one with plenty of ups and downs. I got a taste of what the real world is and it has been very different from what I envisioned it to be. From idea to product to getting funding, to bankruptcy, to rebuilding from the scratch, finding meaning and questioning everything, it has been an eventful 1 year.

I cannot put a price on the kind of growth I’ve undergone in my personal life and as a designer. From dealing with self-doubt, negativity, imposter syndrome, hunger, fear, and mediocrity, amidst the risks, leaps of faith, wins and loses, I can summarize my entire year with one word — GRATITUDE.

In the 3 months of hiatus, it has been eventful in the tech and design industry. From Facebook, Microsoft, Google, Apple, Instagram, Linkedin and Medium, there has been plenty of announcements, products launches, features teasing, and improvements that have been topics of discussions in the community recently. I did a lot of listening and to some others, I gave my $0.02 (two cents). Overall, now is an exciting time to be a designer.

Tomorrow, I’ll post an article sharing my learnings from 1 year of design at a newly formed startup as well as news regarding what I’d be doing next. To all those who followed me, it’s great connecting with you. I did miss writing here, and it’s fabulous to be back.

Hola 🙋‍♂️and Shalom ✌!

Thanks a lot 😊 for reading. I appreciate your time.
