Designing a News Agency App

The Doha News app brings the latest stories straight to your pocket. (https://itunes.apple.com/kw/app/doha-news/id721088782?mt=8)

Users can view news in a list format from latest to the oldest. They can search news by using keywords of their choice. Users can bookmark any news that they like by swiping the news title row to the right. They can view them later by clicking on the bookmarked news option at the bottom of the app. Users can easily share news by swiping to the left and choosing the medium through which they want to share. They can learn more about the app by clicking on the information button on the top left.

Users can also view photos of all the news articles separately by clicking the Photos button on the bottom right corner. Users can also share news by clicking the top right corner. This will open up a share form where they can take a photo and write content about it.

The design of the app is native to the device. There is a separate design for the android version of the app which can be viewed on play store. I worked as the Lead Designer of the project and helped with project management. This project was my first attempt at being an interaction designer.
