Sugar consumption is slippery. That’s by design.

The modern world is filled with sugar. It’s in nearly everything and offered everywhere you turn. It’s so ubiquitous that it seems to have altered our collective palates. You might now be accustomed to having sugar in your food without knowing it.

And yet, it’s vital to get sugar consumption under control. Weight control is impossible without it. The health effects of repeated exposure to sugar are frightening; diabetes and Alzheimer's are just two. Plus, battling cravings and compulsions is no way to spend a life.

Quitting altogether is impractical and creates a rebound effect. The goal should be to live in a happy middle lane. You know when you’re consuming it, and how it works best for you.
