Diet season is almost here.

People on diets love to show off their results, but since 90% will go on to regain the weight within a year, that shouldn’t be considered a success. Big ups and downs in weight create lasting metabolic damage.

In order to avoid being tempted by yet another diet trap, you need to understand the underlying factors at play with a calorie-restricted diet. Two popular ones are Noom and Weight Watchers.

I’ll pick on Noom since they’re a calorie-restricted diet but insist on calling themselves otherwise.
