Convincing people they need your product to fix themselves is an incredibly effective sales technique. The fault is yours and if you canāt do this narrow program for the rest of your life, the failure is yours too.

- We are better off modifying our environments than excavating our failings when it comes to eating and exercise.
- The modern world is specifically designed to get you to eat and drink while getting as little exercise as possible.
- You have to learn to modify your own life, there is no other way.
What many plans call an addiction to food I think of as the effects of advertising and insane availability fueled by cheap plastic.
We have to learn how to protect ourselves from this onslaught of calories, and spend less time wringing our hands about what is individually wrong with each of us.
That is what my principles try to address.
